Strike on Kharkiv

Today, January 2, Russian forces struck the center of Kharkiv with two missiles. According to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office, these were Iskander ballistic missiles.

Initially, it was reported that the missiles hit a residential high-rise building, destroying it. Shortly afterward, information emerged that a five-story building had been destroyed, as well as part of an entrance section of a four-story apartment building.

As of now, rescuers and local authorities are reporting different numbers of casualties. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said 31 people were injured, while Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov reported 28 wounded.

Against this backdrop, Russia has fabricated claims that the strike was allegedly a provocation by Ukraine.

Only recently, the enemy began spreading a fake story about an alleged attempt to attack the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
