Russian losses in two-month offensive in Kharkiv region revealed
Russia's losses in the Kharkiv sector since the start of the new offensive on May 10 amount to 91%. A total of 10,350 Russian occupants were involved in the offensive, according to Colonel Viktor Solimchuk, deputy commander of the Kharkiv operational and tactical group of troops.
As of early July, Russian losses amounted to 2,939 killed and 6,509 wounded, and 45 more occupants surrendered.
"That is, Russia's estimated losses in our direction amount to approximately 91%," the deputy commander says.
Russian losses
In particular, in Vovchansk, the Russian occupiers have already lost most of their 138th motorized rifle brigade, and have wiped out the 83rd and 157th tank regiments.
In addition, their 83rd Air Assault Brigade is also constantly suffering losses, sometimes several dozen people a day, which is confirmed by both prisoners and radio intercepts.
Russians are replenishing from other directions
Given the huge losses, the command of the Russian troops is forced to withdraw units from other areas, introduce reserves, and engage the so-called volunteer Orthodox communist-fascist brigades, in particular, the so-called Alexander Nevsky Brigade.
Russia still has potential
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces emphasize that Russian troops still have a fairly serious offensive potential - the Russian occupiers are regrouping, restoring forces and logistics, and training of assault groups continues in the rear.
"We are aware of the power of the Russian occupation forces, we understand their intentions. But all Russia's attempts to increase their efforts and expand the zone of control are unsuccessful," Solimchuk says.
Russian offensive in Kharkiv region
Russian troops launched a new offensive in the Kharkiv region on May 10. At the moment, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to pacify the Russian occupiers, but fighting continues near the village of Lyptsi, in the Vovchansk direction, and near the village of Hlyboke.
As of July 10, analysts at the Institute for War Studies reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had recently regained positions near Hlyboke, Kharkiv region, as well as in the village itself.
From May 10 to June 10, since the start of the new offensive in the Kharkiv sector, Russia had lost 4,000 soldiers. They also lost dozens of tanks, armored personnel carriers, and warehouses.
