Russian jet drone crashes into nine-story apartment building in Kyiv

On the evening of September 27, Russia again launched an assault on Kyiv with jet-powered drones. One of them struck a residential building, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported.
He said the incident occurred in one of Kyiv's districts.
"In the Darnytskyi district, a UAV struck a nine-story residential building at the level of the fourth and fifth floors," Klitschko reported.
The mayor also added that emergency services had already been dispatched to the scene.
Notably, Russia has attacked Kyiv with jet-powered drones repeatedly throughout the day on September 27.
At night, a UAV struck a warehouse and another non-residential building in the Solomianskyi district. A fire broke out at one site.
In the morning, a drone strike was reported at a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital. Three people were initially reported injured—a woman and two 16-year-old children. Medics examined them and took them to the hospital.
Later, it became known that the number of injured people in the district had risen to four. Three of them were taken to the hospital.
A drone also struck an administrative building in the Holosiivskyi district. Emergency services are working at the scene.
One woman was reported injured after the latest drone strike on a residential building in the Darnytskyi district.

The fire that broke out on the fifth and ninth floors of a residential building in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district after a UAV strike has already been extinguished.
Medics provided the injured woman with the necessary assistance at the scene.
In the Holosiivskyi district, UAV debris fell on park grounds. In another location, falling debris caused a fire in an open area.
Cars are also on fire at another location in Holosiivskyi district.
In the Darnytskyi district, drone debris fell on the grounds of a kindergarten.
Earlier today, Russian forces dropped bombs on central Sumy—two people are currently known to have been killed.
As also reported, Russia targeted and damaged residential buildings in Kyiv on September 26.
