Russia drops bomb on an orphanage in Ukraine's Sumy, killing 2 and injuring many

Russian forces launched a new attack on Sumy in Ukraine on September 27, killing two civilians, including a child, Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi reported.
He said Russia's air attack took place this afternoon.
Russian troops used three guided aerial bombs and struck the central part of Sumy. One strike hit the grounds of a specialized children's home.
"This was a deliberate attack targeting young lives. Unfortunately, two people are known to have been killed in the strike. One of them was a 16-year-old girl. May they rest in peace, and our condolences to their loved ones. At least five people were injured. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance," Minister Vyhivskyi said.

Amid the latest events, the interior minister noted that Russian forces have been carrying out virtually nonstop strikes on civilian infrastructure in recent weeks.
He recalled that Russian forces recently attacked schools and a kindergarten in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
"Children are also among those affected by today's attacks in the capital. This is deliberate and cynical terror—a hunt for people that has no military purpose," Vyhivskyi said.
Earlier, the media reported that on the morning of September 26, Russian forces also dropped guided aerial bombs on central Sumy, killing and injuring civilians, including an 11-month-old child.
Reports also emerged that Russian forces attacked the Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant in Kyiv.
