Russian forces vanish under advanced camouflage to dodge Ukrainian drones

Russian forces are testing new camouflage techniques against drones and deploying strike drones with high-explosive payloads in the Kupiansk direction, reports Major Yurii Fedorenko, Commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment Achilles.
"Russians are using special cloaks and suits that are particularly effective at night. Over the past six months, they have advanced significantly in materials. On some drones, they are almost invisible. Sometimes we have to use munitions to force them to reveal themselves," he said.
Fedorenko stressed that artillery remains a key factor on the battlefield. In areas where drones cannot reach, Ukrainian artillery units act like snipers, breaking apart enemy assault groups.
Russian drones of the Molniya type pose a particularly serious threat. These drones can carry up to 7 kilograms of explosives.
"They are used to strike logistics routes and positions. This is a serious threat, but our forces are countering it. Today alone, we destroyed more than six enemy reconnaissance drones," Fedorenko added.
Ukrainian drones wipe out Russians
Recently, kamikaze drones from the Korsar Battalion struck Russian equipment in the Pokrovsk direction with precision. The attack destroyed a Russian tank and several motorcycles that the enemy was using to move along the front.
In another operation, a Russian soldier who had been hiding after his partner was killed surrendered to Ukrainian defenders without firing a single shot. Soldiers from the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces applied an unconventional approach to secure his surrender.
