On June 2, the Russian army attacked rescue workers and their unit in the Zaporizhzhia region twice. The number of injured has risen to 12, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

"There are now 12 wounded. Eight more rescuers, injured in today's enemy attack, have sought medical help. All of them have been hospitalized," Fedorov wrote.

According to him, 12 rescuers are in the hospital, one in critical condition, and the others in a state of moderate severity. All are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Russian strike on firefighters

Today, the Russian army used FPV drones to strike a fire and rescue unit in one of the frontline settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the rescuers were in a shelter at the time, but despite this, four were injured as a result of the strike.

On the night of June 1, the Russian army launched a record number of drones at Ukraine - 472 units. The Russian forces also attacked with seven missiles, including ballistic ones.
