Overnight into June 1, Russia launched another combined attack on Ukraine, striking multiple regions, including Kyiv.

RBC-Ukraine has compiled everything known so far about the aftermath of the Russian assault.

How Russia attacked

By the evening of May 31, reports began to emerge that Russian forces had launched drones toward Ukraine. The Air Force first reported drone activity shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Russian drones entered Ukraine in waves from multiple directions. In addition to the drones, the enemy also launched ballistic and cruise missiles.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declared the all-clear from the threat of strike drones only at 11:16 a.m. In the northern, eastern, and some central regions, the air raid alert lasted more than 10 to 13 hours.

Kyiv

Russia attacked Kyiv overnight on June 1 with drones and missiles. The Air Forces and monitoring groups reported fast-moving targets heading toward the capital.

An air raid alert in the capital was declared at 1:43 a.m., and the all-clear at 11:15 a.m. Thus, the alert in the capital lasted nine and a half hours.

The occupiers launched several groups of drones toward Kyiv. At night and in the morning, several explosions were heard in the capital of Ukraine due to the work of air defense systems.

Kyiv region

The head of Kyiv regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, stated that overnight the enemy carried out a massive attack on the Kyiv region using drones, cruise, and ballistic missiles.

According to him, targets were shot down, and the drone forces managed to intercept 15 enemy drones.

There are no casualties among the population or hits on critical infrastructure facilities.

However, as a result of the enemy attack in the Bila Tserkva district, 10 private houses were damaged. Their windows were shattered, facades were chipped, and roofs were damaged.

Zaporizhzhia

The Russians terrorized Zaporizhzhia region all night. At dawn, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that the enemy attacked a critical infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia. The strike partially destroyed an administrative building and caused a fire on the premises.

According to Fedorov, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with at least seven Shaheds.

As of the morning, it is known that three apartment buildings, 29 private houses, and 10 non-residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia were damaged. Three people were injured as a result of the attack.

Odesa region

Russians also attacked the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region with drones.

Local authorities reported that private homes and a recreation base building were damaged, causing a fire. There were no casualties.

Kharkiv region

According to the State Emergency Service and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Kharkiv region came under a massive drone attack early today.

In Lozova, a 45-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction after a strike hit an educational facility, causing the roof to catch fire. Nearby houses were also damaged.

In Velykyi Burluk and Izium, Russian drones caused damage and fires at administrative buildings and warehouses. In Balakliia, private homes and vehicles were damaged, and a small fire broke out.

Kirovohrad region

Kirovohrad region was also targeted by enemy drones. In one of the communities in Holovanivsk district, 16 private homes were damaged. Roofs and fences were damaged, windows and doors were broken.

According to the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, there are no casualties.

Massive attacks on Ukraine

Recall that last weekend, on the night of May 25, Russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine, releasing 298 drones and 69 missiles of various types. Air defense forces destroyed 45 missiles and neutralized 266 drones.

At that time, 13 regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, were under attack. More than 10 people were killed, and dozens more were injured. Among the victims were three children from Zhytomyr region.

Also, on the night of May 24, Russians launched a massive attack on Kyiv with drones and ballistic missiles.
