As a result of a massive overnight attack on Ukraine on May 25, twelve people were killed and more than 60 others were injured, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko on Telegram.

According to Klymenko, 13 regions came under Russian fire, including the city of Kyiv, as well as Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, and Poltava regions.

Across Ukraine, more than 80 residential buildings were damaged. Twenty-seven fires were reported, and in three locations, firefighters are still working to extinguish the flames.

According to the Interior Minister, more than 70 people have been affected so far: 12 killed and over 60 injured. Among the dead are three children from the same family in Zhytomyr region. Their parents have been hospitalized; the mother is in critical condition.

"I am in constant contact with the regions. I coordinate the work of our units. From the very first minutes, emergency workers from the State Emergency Service and police officers have been operating at every impact site. They are clearing debris, evacuating people, documenting the consequences of Russian war crimes, and assisting the victims," Klymenko added.

Strike on Ukraine

In the early hours of May 25, Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine, firing 298 drones and 69 missiles of various types. This is the largest number of drones the occupiers have launched at Ukraine in a single assault. Air defense forces shot down 45 missiles and neutralized 266 drones.

Earlier, it was reported that three children aged 8, 12, and 17 were killed in Zhytomyr region. Another 10 people were injured.
