Russian forces strike residential area in Odesa region: Home damaged by fire

Russian forces struck the Odesa region. The attack damaged a private home and sparked a fire, according to a statement by Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.
"As a result of the enemy attack in the Odesa region, a private residential house was hit. The roof was completely destroyed, and a fire broke out," he said.
According to Kiper, the blast wave also damaged nearby private homes. He added that information on casualties resulting from the attack is still being clarified.
All relevant emergency services are working at the scene of the strike.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service said that four people, including two children, were injured in the attack on the Odesa region.
"As a result of the Russian attack in Odesa district, a private residential house was partially destroyed, with the roof catching fire. Dry grass nearby also ignited. The blast wave damaged neighboring homes," the statement said.

Rescuers said the fires were quickly extinguished and all injured victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
Ukraine's National Police said the injured include two women, aged 43 and 47, and two 16-year-old boys. All were taken to a medical facility. Police added that the exact number of victims is still being verified.
"Police officers are working at the scene, documenting the consequences of Russia's war crime, collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, providing necessary assistance and maintaining public order," the statement said.
Earlier, on the night of August 17, Russian forces attacked port infrastructure in the Odesa region. The strike damaged a civilian vessel flying the flag of Togo.
A day earlier, on August 16, a Russian jet-powered drone struck a post office branch located inside a shopping center in the suburbs of Odesa. A 42-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were injured in the attack.
In addition, Russian forces launched another strike on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region yesterday using a jet-powered drone. The drone hit a residential area, completely destroying two private homes.
