Russian forces strike Donetsk region with air bomb: Four injured, including child

"Four people, including a two-year-old child, were injured as a result of a Russian shelling of Sloviansk," the statement reads.

The victims were diagnosed with mine-blast injuries, traumatic amputations, fractures, and bruises. All of them are receiving necessary medical care.

Preliminarily, the Russians struck the private sector of the city with an air bomb equipped with an UMPC module.

As a result of the strike, at least 14 private houses were destroyed and damaged. Necessary services are working at the scene.

Ukraine's shelling on January 3

On the night of January 3, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 93 Shahed-type strike drones and drones of various types that imitate UAVs. Air defense forces managed to destroy 60 of them, while 26 were lost due to location issues.

As a result of the Russian drone attack, several strikes by attack drones were recorded against private enterprises and multi-story buildings in Donetsk and Chernihiv regions. In particular, Russian forces targeted a residential building in Kramatorsk with a drone.

Additionally, the downed Shaheds caused damage in the Kyiv region. Private homes and cars were damaged in several areas, with casualties and injuries reported.

A woman in Kyiv was also injured due to the attack. Fragments fell in two districts of the capital.

Moreover, Russian forces carried out an aerial strike on the city of Sumy. No fatalities were reported, but there were casualties.
