Russian troops have partially intensified their activities in the Kharkiv region and in the border areas of the Sumy region. The situation remains most tense in the Lyman direction, according to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"It is partially recorded (the intensification of Russian activity in the Kharkiv region - ed.). First of all, if we take the Lyman direction, which is quite important for them, there are constant very active attempts to break through directly in the direction of Lyman itself," Trehubov says.

According to him, there is also increased activity in the border areas - both in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

In particular, the Russians are again attempting to infiltrate (sending small groups of infantry to the rear or to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - ed.) along the line of Hrabovske, Popivka, and Pokrovka.

"These are two settlements north of Hvardiiske, where they are also trying to get in now. Similarly, in the Kharkiv region along the border with Ukraine, there are constant attempts to attack from the same Dihtiarne," the spokesperson adds.

In addition, the Russians have become more active in the Velykyi Burluk direction.

"They are also quite active in the Vovchansk direction, but there it is not so much an increase as a maintenance of intensity," Trehubov says.

At the same time, according to him, the situation for Russian troops is less favorable in the Kupiansk direction.

Situation on the front

The Russians are pulling up reserves in the east, which is why the Armed Forces of Ukraine are relying on drones and robotic logistics.

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced Ukraine's transition to offensive operations, since, according to him, it is impossible to achieve victory purely through defense.

Russia has also increased its forces in the Pokrovsk direction and sent 150,000 troops there.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia is resorting to a single working tactic there and is intensifying attacks on Myrnohrad.
