Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited Ukrainian defenders fighting on the Oleksandrivka direction and in the Huliaipole area, reminding them of the top priority, according to Syrskyi’s post.
The situation in the southeastern directions remains challenging, Syrskyi said.
"The enemy continues to attempt breakthroughs and launches constant attacks, including using weapons and military equipment, but without significant success. The Defense Forces hold their designated lines and positions, thwart enemy plans, and inflict substantial losses on personnel and equipment," the general states.
Syrskyi emphasized that Ukrainian units carry out effective counterattacks and assault operations using drones, artillery, and electronic warfare systems.
He underlined the primary priority: liberating territory is crucial, but above all, the lives of soldiers must be preserved, and the combat readiness of units must be maintained.
The general also reminded commanders that when assigning personnel to positions, it is necessary to take into account their professional experience, qualifications, and special skills acquired in civilian life.
Offensive operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Russian military is moving up reserves in the east, prompting Ukraine to rely on drones and robotic logistics.
Previously, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced Ukraine’s transition to offensive operations, noting that victory cannot be achieved through purely defensive actions.
Syrskyi also summed up last year’s results, highlighting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out three successful offensive operations, two of which took place on Russian territory.
