Russian troops attempted to break through into Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, with armored vehicles. However, the attack ended in losses for them, according to the Operational Command East of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Fighting for Myrnohrad

Fighting continues in Myrnohrad. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding certain lines, particularly in the northern part of the city.

Meanwhile, Russian troops are increasing pressure on the northern part of the city, trying to accumulate heavy equipment and manpower to encircle and further storm Myrnohrad.

"Due to the coordinated actions of aerial reconnaissance and strike assets, the enemy is largely detected and neutralized prematurely. In particular, attempted armored breakthroughs into the city were identified in a timely manner, resulting in the destruction of enemy equipment," the Operational Command East reports.

The necessary forces and means are also being used to deter Russian troops, and fire damage is being inflicted on Russian concentration points and logistics.

Search and strike operations are being conducted in Myrnorad and the surrounding area. The main tactic of the Russian army in this direction remains small infantry groups, which critically depletes Russian human resources.

Pokrovsk agglomeration

According to information from the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops have intensified their attempts to encircle Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad with so-called claws.

In particular, Russia has increased pressure from the directions of Kotlyne and Rodynske.

Units of the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces, together with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, are countering these plans. The Ukrainian military is conducting enhanced aerial reconnaissance and additionally mining Russia's likely routes of advance.

In addition, Russians continue to attempt to advance in small assault groups from the northwestern part of Pokrovsk in the direction of Hryshyne.

In case of attempts to infiltrate the outskirts of the settlement, the Ukrainian Defense Forces promptly detect and eliminate Russian troops.

Recently, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group was also detected north of Pokrovsk in the area of farms. As a result of countermeasures, the Ukrainian military eliminated the group.

Pokrovsk direction

Russia has increased its forces in the Pokrovsk direction and sent 150,000 troops there.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russian is resorting to a single working tactic there. Russians also intensified assaults in Myrnohrad.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped a large-scale Russian attempt to break through. The result of fierce fighting over two days was the complete defeat of the Russian troops.
