Russian forces attack railway station in Sumy region with drones, injuring railway workers
Today, on September 26, Russian forces attacked a railway station in Sumy region with drones. Three railway workers are reported injured, along with damage to the facility, according to the Telegram channel of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Among the injured:
- A carriage department worker performing his duties;
- A paramilitary security worker;
- A communications service worker.
All the injured received necessary medical assistance, and their lives are not in danger.
The station building was also damaged in the attack, with 15 windows shattered.
"Fortunately, no passengers or station workers were injured. All Ukrzaliznytsia trains in the region are operating on schedule," Ukrzaliznytsia added.
According to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, the attack occurred around 1:00 p.m. The enemy struck a railway station in the town of Khutir-Mykhailivskyi in the Shostka district.
Ukraine under attack on September 26
Today, Ukraine experienced three large-scale air raid alerts due to the takeoff of enemy MiG-31K aircraft. During the first alert, an explosion was heard in Kyiv; however, later, the Kyiv City State Administration stated that the Russian army did not launch a missile strike on the capital, and air defenses were not activated.
There were also reports of Kinzhal aeroballistic missile launches towards Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region, where a military airfield is located.
