Russian forces attack Ukraine's Kherson market: Casualties reported

On October 31, Russian forces hit a market in one of the districts of Kherson. As a result of the attack, two civilians were killed and seven were injured, according to the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the State Emergency Service of the Kherson region.
According to Prokudin, the Russian strike hit the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 56-year-old woman was killed. Initially, it was reported that four people were injured.
"A 43-year-old man and three women aged 50, 60, and 55 suffered blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. Three victims were taken to the hospital. One woman received medical assistance on site," he wrote.
Later, Prokudin reported that the death toll had risen to two, as a 51-year-old man was fatally injured in his own home during the attack.
The State Emergency Service of Kherson reported that the Russian attack damaged market stalls and caused a fire at the site of the strike. According to rescuers, seven people were injured and two were killed.
"The fire and rescue unit promptly arrived at the scene and carried out work to extinguish the fire and eliminate the consequences of the attack. Rescuers worked under constant threat of further attacks," the statement said.




Russian attacks on Kherson hospitals
Recently, Russian forces have been striking hospitals in Kherson. On October 29, the enemy shelled a children’s hospital with artillery. The hospital was heavily damaged, and nine people were injured, including three medical staff and four children.
On October 30, the Russian army shelled another hospital in Kherson. A shell pierced the wall of a ward, injuring an 83-year-old patient. Another woman was injured and sustained trauma on the street near the hospital.
