A Russian FPV drone attacked the White Angel evacuation unit in Druzhkivka while officers were evacuating civilians.
"In Druzhkivka, a Russian FPV drone hit the White Angels as they were evacuating a man with limited mobility in a wheelchair and his son," the police said.
Three police officers, along with the two civilians, suffered shrapnel wounds.
Condition of the injured
The officers immediately began stopping the bleeding and bandaging both themselves and the civilians. However, a second Russian drone was already preparing to strike, the police said.
"Despite being wounded, the White Angels managed to save the civilians and escape the attack. Everyone survived and is currently receiving medical treatment," the statement said.
Earlier in June, the last two Nova Poshta (logistics operator) branches in Druzhkivka temporarily suspended operations due to the deteriorating security situation and constant Russian attacks.
Since June, authorities have expanded the mandatory evacuation zone for families with children in Donetsk region. The measure now covers certain streets in Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Bilenke, as well as the settlements of Pryvillia and Malotaranivka.
Since the beginning of August 2025, 1,350 children have been evacuated from settlements in Donetsk region where mandatory evacuation orders for families with children are in effect.
