In the village of Komyshany, in Ukraine's Kherson region, Russian forces attacked a car with a drone on the afternoon of May 26. As a result of the strike, two children were injured, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

"At approximately 15:50 in Komyshany, Russian forces attacked a car with a drone. As a result of an explosive being dropped from the UAV, two boys — aged 7 and 15 — were injured," the regional administration reported.

The children suffered blast injuries, concussions, and traumatic brain injuries. The older boy also sustained a head wound.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. Doctors are providing them with all necessary medical assistance.

Russian attacks on Ukraine

During the night of May 24, Russia launched a combined strike on Kyiv using both ballistic missiles and drones. A total of 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 250 attack UAVs were launched across Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense systems intercepted six missiles and neutralized 245 drones.

During the night of May 25, Russian forces attacked 13 regions of Ukraine, using dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, along with approximately 300 drones.

Then, on the night of May 26, Russia launched a record number of attack drones and cruise missiles targeting Ukrainian territory.
