As a result of the Russian attack, fires broke out in Chernihiv, numerous destructions were recorded, and there are casualties among the local population, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

It was reported that several fires broke out due to falling drone debris. People were injured, and residential and industrial buildings, as well as vehicles, were damaged.

“In the residential area, a house, an outbuilding, a garage, and three cars were burned. One person was injured, four more vehicles, and about eight buildings were damaged. The fire has been extinguished,” the rescuers said.

Additionally, the State Emergency Service reported another fire near a residential building: a car was burned, three people were injured by debris, and five vehicles, a store, and the glazing of a multi-story building were damaged.

There was also a fire recorded on the premises of a local enterprise.

Psychologists from the Emergency Service were on site, assisting 20 people, including 8 children.

The agency also released photos and videos from the drone strike locations.

Russian drone attack on Chernihiv

Last night, Russian drones struck the city of Chernihiv.

An air raid alert was announced in the Chernihiv region at 12:20 a.m. Kyiv time.

After 2:00 a.m., powerful explosions rocked the city. Reports came in about drone debris falling on streets in residential areas.

Later, local authorities released photos showing the aftermath of the attack on Chernihiv - widespread damage to homes, government buildings, and vehicles, with multiple fires breaking out.
