Russian drone hits Ukraine's Sumy government building — see the damage (photos)

A Russian drone struck the Sumy Regional Military Administration on July 26. The administrative building was damaged, reports the Sumy Regional Military Administration and the Sumy Regional Police.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack. He said Russian forces targeted Sumy, and one of the drones hit the city center, specifically Independence Square.
As a result, the building of the Sumy Regional State Administration sustained damage.
"This was a deliberate strike on a civilian target. Unfortunately, it is not the first," he added.

The police stated that windows in a nearby apartment building were also shattered. Preliminary reports indicated no casualties.

Russian attack on Sumy
Sumy faces daily Russian shelling. On July 26, Russian forces began attacking the city with drones in the morning. The strikes caused disruptions to electricity and water supplies in the city.
Later, local authorities reported hits on civilian infrastructure and a drone strike on a non-residential building.
Member of Parliament Oleksandr Kachura shared a video showing the strike on the Sumy Regional Military Administration. RBC-Ukraine sources in law enforcement confirmed its authenticity.
