On the evening of Monday, June 2, the Russian army used a drone to strike a medical vehicle in downtown Kherson. The driver of the vehicle was killed, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. when the enemy strike caused the vehicle to be completely destroyed by fire.

"Unfortunately, the driver, born in 1957, sustained fatal injuries. My condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased," Prokudin wrote.

Two clinic employees — a man born in 1972 and a woman born in 1966 — were also injured.

Drone attacks on Kherson and the region

Russian forces regularly use drones to target civilian infrastructure and vehicles, particularly in frontline areas of the Kherson region.

The left bank of the Kherson region remains under Russian occupation. Meanwhile, Russian troops continue to launch drone and missile attacks on Kherson and settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro River almost daily.

Earlier, two people were injured as a result of attacks in the Kherson region, one of whom remains in serious condition.

Also, on May 23, Russian forces struck a district of Kherson, injuring ten civilians and killing three.
