Russian forces attacked Ukraine's Volyn region throughout the night. As a result of strikes on energy facilities, more than 103,000 subscribers were left without electricity, Volyn Regional Military Administration head Ivan Rudnytskyi reported.

"The region was under a massive attack by Shahed-type UAVs throughout the night. In total, several dozen enemy targets once again attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Volyn," Rudnytskyi said.

According to him, air defense forces managed to shoot down some of the Russian Shahed drones. At the same time, hits were recorded, resulting in fires. Blazes occurred in particular in Lutsk and the Kovel district, and efforts to extinguish them are ongoing.

All relevant services are working at the impact sites, and the consequences of the attack are being eliminated.

According to Volynoblenergo (regional power distribution company), 103,341 subscribers were left without electricity due to the attacks.

As the head of the Regional Military Administration clarified, no fatalities or injuries have been reported so far.
