Russia hinders POW exchange
The next stage of the prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia has been postponed. Earlier it was reported that the exchange was scheduled to begin on June 7.
However, on Saturday, June 7, the head of the Russian negotiating team, Vladimir Medinsky, came out with accusations against Ukraine for allegedly postponing the exchange.
According to him, they handed over lists of 640 people and delivered more than 1,000 bodies of dead Ukrainian soldiers to the border in the Bryansk region.
Ukraine's Coordination Center clarified that all these claims are false. The Russians handed over the lists in violation of the previously agreed approach.
They decided to act unilaterally on the repatriation of the bodies, also contrary to the agreed measures.
After such actions, Zelenskyy said that Russia was playing dirty games with the exchange of prisoners.
