Tragedy in Belgium: Wife and daughter of Ukrainian serviceman murdered

In the Belgian town of Haasrode, the wife and daughter of a Ukrainian soldier were killed. The house where the tragedy occurred was set on fire, according to VRT and Sudinfo.
On the morning of June 6, residents of Haasrode reported a fire in the house where a Ukrainian family lived. Previously, this had been the house of a local priest.
Rescuers at the scene of the fire discovered the body of a 46-year-old woman and a six-year-old girl with multiple stab wounds. At the time of the firefighters' arrival, the woman was already dead, and attempts were made to save the daughter.
Law enforcement officers have begun an investigation into the double murder. According to preliminary findings, the house with the Ukrainian citizens was deliberately set on fire.
It is known that the Ukrainian family has been living in Belgium for 3 years, and the girl’s father is fighting on the front line in Ukraine. The woman also has a 16-year-old son, who, at the time of the fire, was at school.
High-profile murder of Ukrainians in Germany
We remind you that last year in Germany the body of a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman was found. Law enforcement officers had been searching for the daughter and mother of the deceased, who had gone missing.
Later, law enforcement discovered the body of the murdered Ukrainian woman's mother. A 43-year-old Russian woman and her 44-year-old husband were arrested on suspicion of murder. They were found with an infant they had kidnapped. The girl was later placed under the care of the youth welfare office.
In Germany, the trial continues for the couple who killed the Ukrainian women and kidnapped the child. They admitted their guilt.
