Russian carriers of Kalibr missiles detected in Black and Mediterranean Seas
As of 06:00 on September 16, the military has identified enemy missile carriers in the Black and Mediterranean Seas. A total of six ships have been observed, according to the morning update from the Ukrainian Navy.
In particular, there is one enemy ship in the Black Sea, which is equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles.
Meanwhile, there are no enemy vessels in the Sea of Azov. However, the Mediterranean Sea has been reported to have five ships, four of which are armed with Kalibr missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 32 missiles.
Additionally, the military reported that over the past day, the following movements were recorded in favor of the aggressor state, Russia:
- in the direction of the Black Sea - 12 vessels, with 7 continuing towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- in the direction of the Sea of Azov - 11 vessels, with 5 coming from the Bosphorus Strait.
The Navy also noted that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems.
On the previous day, there were 16 Russian ships in the Black Sea. Seven of these were equipped with Kalibr missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 48 missiles.
