In Zaporizhzhia, the number of people injured in Russian strikes has risen to 34. Authorities are continuing efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack, reports Regina Harchenko, Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.

"As of now, there are already 34 people injured as a result of the massive attack," she said.

Kharchenko added that cleanup operations are ongoing. Municipal services have already removed more than 100 tons of debris from affected areas.

Earlier, Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that the number of injured had reached 30. Most suffered shrapnel wounds, cuts, or acute stress reactions.

Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia

As reported, Russians launched at least 12 strikes on Zaporizhzhia overnight. Fourteen apartment buildings and more than 40 private homes were damaged. The attack also temporarily left about 25,000 people without electricity.

Overall, Russian forces fired 45 missiles and 537 drones across Ukraine that night. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 548 targets, including 38 missiles and 510 drones.
