A Russian drone struck a shuttle bus in Kherson. Two tax service employees were injured, and a child was killed, according to the press service of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
What is known about the victims
Two employees of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kherson region were traveling on the bus to work. The women sustained injuries of varying severity.
Acting Head of the State Tax Service, Lesia Karnaukh, said that the daughter of one of the injured employees was also on the bus.
"The daughter of one of our colleagues was also on the bus. Unfortunately, the girl died from her injuries. Once again, the barbarians have shown their true face and unjustly taken the life of a Ukrainian child. My sincere condolences to all those affected," Karnaukh wrote.
Tax office building damaged
The building of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kherson was also targeted in the same attack. The blast wave shattered windows on several floors.
According to the head of the State Tax Service, this was not the first time the building had been damaged.
"Kherson lives under constant terror. Russian drones track civilians and attack buses, cars, and people in the streets. This is a deliberate tactic of intimidation and the killing of civilians. But accountability for every such crime will inevitably come," Karnaukh said.
Meanwhile, Russia continues to attack other regions of Ukraine with guided bombs and drones.
On June 30, Russian forces dropped seven guided aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia, including one that struck a kindergarten, killing at least two people.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, on the same day, Russian forces also struck a civilian facility in Sumy with four aerial bombs, injuring eleven people.
