In Lutsk, rescuers discovered the body of a second person who died as a result of the Russian attack on the night of Friday, June 6, reports the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

It is noted that search and rescue operations have been completed. The number of deaths as a result of Russia's strike on the city has risen to two people.

"This morning, the body of a girl was found under the rubble of a destroyed entrance of a 9-story building in Lutsk," the statement said.

The State Emergency Service reminded that yesterday, a man's body was retrieved, and the total number of casualties is 30 people.

Workers evacuated five people and several pets. Residential buildings, administrative structures, a furniture workshop, production facilities, and vehicles were significantly damaged.

"Rescuers, Red Cross volunteers, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service and police worked at the scene. A point of Invincibility was set up to help residents," the State Emergency Service added.

Rescuers also released fresh photos and videos from the search and rescue operation site.

Massive attack on Lutsk on June 6

On the night of June 6, the Russian army carried out a revenge strike for the SBU's destruction of Russian strategic aviation aircraft. Throughout the night, over 400 strike drones and more than 45 missiles of various types were launched at Ukraine.

Lutsk became one of the cities that suffered the most from the attack - Russians attacked from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Kyiv time.

Specifically, the Russian army launched 15 drones and six missiles at the city.

As a result of the shelling, apartment buildings, cars, and educational institutions were damaged.

Additionally, missiles damaged a hotel where the Ukrainian national track and field team athletes were staying.
