Russian attack damages train with people on board in Ukraine's Sumy (photos)

On the evening of August 1, Russian forces launched a strike on the railway station in Sumy. As a result of the attack, a passenger train was damaged, according to Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian railways).
"Sumy is once again under enemy fire. The strikes also affected the Sumy railway station," the statement reads.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, windows were damaged in train No. 45 Kharkiv–Uzhhorod. All passengers are safe, and the railway staff quickly relocated them to other cars. The train continues to operate on schedule.

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, said the station was attacked by two drones.

Earlier today, on August 1, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that Russian forces also targeted the region’s energy infrastructure.
As a result of those attacks, some consumers in the Sumy district were left without electricity.
