Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Kamensky Plant in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, Russia, overnight on August 16, according to Ukraine's General Staff.
A fire was reported at the site, while the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The Kamensky Plant is part of Russia's defense industry and produces solid rocket fuel for Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers, as well as for a number of missile systems and air-launched weapons.
The plant's products are directly used to support the needs of the Russian armed forces.
In addition, an analysis of additional data confirmed that ZapSibNeftekhim LLC in Tobolsk, Tyumen region, ceased operations after the Central Gas Fractionation Unit No. 1 was hit on August 10.
The damage to the hydrocracking unit, the primary oil refining units ELOU-AVT-3, ELOU-AVT-6 and ELOU-AT, and the secondary distillation unit for light oil fractions 22-4M5 at Orsknefteorgsintez PJSC in Orsk, Orenburg region, on August 11 was also confirmed.
Ukraine's latest strikes on Russia
As previously reported, overnight on August 16, Ukraine's Navy struck the launch positions and deployment site of a Russian Bastion system in occupied Crimea.
In addition to the Bastion system, Ukrainian forces struck a railway bridge near Svitlodolynske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russian forces use the bridge for military logistics and personnel movements.
A Russian military logistics and ammunition depot in Karlivka, Donetsk region, was also targeted.
In addition, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Wildberries logistics hub in Koledino, Moscow region, with FP-1 drones overnight.
The Severnoye Domodedovo multimodal logistics complex in Domodedovo is also on fire following the drone strikes.
