Russian army helpless against Ukrainian drones on left bank of Dnipro - UK intelligence
The Russian army is suffering heavy losses due to artillery and drone strikes covering the Ukrainian bridgehead in Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro River, according to the UK Ministry of Defense
Ukrainian forces operating on the left bank of the Dnipro River are using unmanned aerial vehicles (FPV drones) equipped with ammunition to strike Russian forces.
According to UK intelligence, FPV drones are used in conjunction with artillery to target Russian armed forces vehicles. According to a Russian military blogger, 90% of Russian military equipment in the Krynky sector was destroyed.
"Russia's inability to counter the FPV-UAVs is likely due to a shortage of Russian Electronic Warfare capability in the area," the UK Ministry of Defense says.
Bridgehead on left bank of Dnipro River
Back in November 2023, it became known that Ukrainian forces managed to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Kherson region. They hold the bridgehead and do not allow them to be driven out, despite constant attempts by the enemy to attack.
Over the past month, work has been underway to expand the bridgehead on the left bank. Ukrainian drones mine the roads at night and finish off enemy equipment and vehicles in the morning by dropping ammunition.
Another attack "in the style of Zhukov" (fierce attack - ed.) has led to the loss of "unique specialists" in the 104th Air Assault Division of the Russian Federation. Military expert Oleksandr Musiienko sees this as an act of desperation, as the enemy has been unable to push Ukrainian forces to the right bank for several months.
ISW analysts point out that the Z-army is asking not to move equipment to Krynky, as up to 90% of it is destroyed on the way.
