Russian army blocks access to Google services in occupied territories
Russian occupiers are blocking access to Google services in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. By doing so, they compel people to switch to Russian alternatives, according to the website of the National Resistance Center (NRC).
It is noted that residents of several settlements in the south do not have access to YouTube, the Google search engine, Gmail, and other Alphabet services. Thus, the enemy not only strengthens control over the information field but also encourages people to switch to Russian analogs.
"However, it is known that the company Yandex shares information with the occupiers and helps track the movement of Ukrainians in temporarily occupied territories," the statement stated.
Earlier the NRC found out that Russians are increasing the number of surveillance cameras in large settlements in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. They are used to search for disloyal residents.
Representatives of the Russian military-industrial complex complain about losses due to the war with Ukraine.
Russians have also come up with a new way to control enterprises in the occupied territory.
