The Russian army attacked a tent camp with people in the Sumy region. A woman was killed, and others were injured, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, on Telegram.

On the evening of September 6, Russian forces struck a tent camp in the Putyvl community.

"A 51-year-old woman died from shrapnel wounds before medics could arrive. Our sincere condolences to her family," said the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

According to him, seven people were injured, including an eight-year-old boy and his parents. All the wounded were hospitalized.

"Medical assistance is being provided to the victims; their condition is preliminarily assessed as moderate," Hryhorov added.

Attack on Ukraine

On the night of September 7, Russian forces carried out a massive drone and missile strike on Ukrainian cities. Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Kremenchuk were hit.

In the capital, residential buildings were struck. For the first time since February 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers building was also targeted. The Kyiv attack killed a woman and a two-month-old baby, while more than 20 people were injured.

In Kremenchuk, Russia hit a bridge over the Dnipro River, which is part of Ukrzaliznytsia’s infrastructure.
