Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine with drones and missiles, with explosions reported in Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Kryvyi Rih. Local authorities are recording the first consequences.

Kyiv

According to local authorities, falling drone debris caused fires in cars and damaged apartment buildings. The aftermath is currently being recorded in the Darnytskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, there are two fatalities in the Sviatoshynskyi district - a young woman and a child under one year old.

According to Mayor Vitalii Klitschko, the situation in Kyiv is as follows:

  • Sviatoshynskyi district – the top floor of a 16-story building is on fire, and there are fires in two 9-story buildings. One of the 9-story buildings suffered partial destruction from the 4th to the 8th floors.
  • Darnytskyi district – a 4-story building is burning, with partial destruction of the 3rd floor.
  • Pecherskyi district – fire at an administrative building.

Updated. At 05:19 Kyiv time, the air raid alert in Kyiv was lifted; however, around 6 a.m., the city came under attack again. This time, cruise missiles were fired at the capital, and loud explosions were heard throughout the city.

Kryvyi Rih

Local authorities reported a massive attack on Kryvyi Rih, with the city under strike from both missiles and drones. Local media wrote about power supply disruptions.

The head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported hits in three locations. These include transport and municipal infrastructure, as well as the private sector. Currently, there is no information about casualties. Trolleybus service in the city is partially disrupted due to line damage.

Zaporizhzhia

Zaporizhzhia is under attack by enemy forces. The city was targeted by hostile drones, and there was also a threat of ballistic missiles. The head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that Russia struck an enterprise in the city, causing a fire.

Kremenchuk

In Kremenchuk, dozens of explosions have been reported as the city comes under enemy fire. According to the mayor, Vitalii Maletskyi, part of the city is without electricity.

Odesa

Odesa is under drone attack. Local media reports a series of explosions, but the local authorities have not yet commented on the consequences.

Update: The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported that as a result of a massive drone strike on Odesa, civilian infrastructure and residential buildings were damaged. Fires have broken out in several multi-story buildings.

Dnipro
