Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko stated that during the attack on Kyiv on the night of July 31, Russian troops, preliminarily, used jet-powered Shaheds, according to TSN.

He noted that the drones entered the capital from different directions, and after everything seemingly calmed down, an hour later a missile attack began.

"There is preliminary information that there were jet-powered 'Shaheds', which are not being used for the first time against civilian and communal infrastructure objects of Ukraine, the city of Kyiv. How many of them there were, specifically jet-powered 'Shaheds', is currently being counted by experts," Klymenko said.

The Minister also reported that a total of 6 missiles hit residential and communal facilities in the city of Kyiv.

As for the Sviatoshynskyi district, in the destroyed apartment entrance, which was half destroyed, there were 56 apartments.

He also reported that doctors fought for more than two hours to save the life of a 6-year-old boy. However, he could not be saved. He died together with his mother.

Currently, according to preliminary information, up to 10 people may be under the rubble in Kyiv.

"When the explosion occurred, some people were right in their beds, others were in the corridors. They were buried. They fell, and concrete slabs collapsed on them," Klymenko commented on the strike on the building in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

According to him, the enemy missile strike on the nine-story building was a direct hit. Somewhere around the 5th floor. And the scorched leaves on the trees show the trajectory of the missile hitting the building.

Klymenko also spoke about the rescue of a man who was trapped on the first floor of the destroyed building in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

During the night of July 31, Russian troops launched a drone strike on the city of Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. In the early morning, the Russian troops launched missiles at the capital.

The enemy used more than 309 drones and 8 missiles in total. Overall, the main target of the enemy was the city of Kyiv. The most impacts were recorded there. The Russian enemy targeted residential buildings, educational institutions, and other civilian infrastructure.

The entrance of a nine-story building in the Sviatoshynskyi district was destroyed, and in the Solomianskyi district a building was also significantly damaged.

Currently, it is known that six people died in the Sviatoshynskyi district, including a child, and two died in the Solomianskyi district. In total, there are 52 injured in the city. Among them are 9 children. This is the largest number of injured children in one night in Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale war.
