Russian forces have launched more than 13,000 missiles and 142,000 drones of various types at Ukrainian territory since February 24, 2022, Commander-in-Chief General Oleksandr Syrskyi said, according to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The enemy is resorting to massive missile and air strikes on our rear areas, deliberately targeting energy facilities and using freezing temperatures as an additional tool of pressure and terror against Ukraine's civilian population," Syrskyi said.

According to him, during December 2025 and early January 2026, the enemy carried out six massive missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian territory. In particular, on the night of January 13, the Russian aggressor attacked energy facilities, other infrastructure, and civilian sites with 25 missiles and 293 strike UAVs.

"Since February 24, 2022, the number of missiles used by the Russian army has exceeded 13,300 units, and strike drones more than 142,300 units," Syrskyi added.

He also noted that in this context, the top priority is strengthening the air shield, including the acquisition of air defense missile systems and ammunition.

During the overnight attack, Russian forces launched nearly 300 drones and dozens of missiles of various types at Ukrainian territory. Most enemy targets were destroyed by air defense forces.
