Russian forces launched nearly 300 drones and dozens of missiles of various types at Ukraine overnight. Most enemy targets were destroyed by air defense forces, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.

“On the night of January 13, the enemy attacked using 18 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and S-300 guided anti-aircraft missiles launched from Russia’s Kursk, Bryansk, and Voronezh regions, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea. In addition, seven Iskander-K cruise missiles were launched from Russia’s Kursk and Belgorod regions,” the Air Force said.

The enemy also used 293 Shahed-type strike drones, Gerbera drones, and other UAVs, about 200 of which were Shaheds.

It is noted that ballistic missile strikes were launched from four locations, targeting the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 09:30 a.m. local time, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 247 targets, including:

  • 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles

  • 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles

  • 240 enemy UAVs, including Shahed and Gerbera drones and other types

At the same time, impacts from ballistic missiles and 48 strike drones were recorded at 24 locations.

Massive January 13 strike

During the night, Russian forces carried out another large-scale attack on Kyiv and several other regions of Ukraine, using missiles of various types and strike drones.

At around 2:00 a.m., Kyiv was hit by ballistic missiles, with explosions heard across the city. By morning, the capital came under another missile attack.

Kharkiv, Odesa, Zhytomyr region, and Kryvyi Rih were also targeted overnight. There are already reports of fatalities, injuries, and significant destruction. In particular, four people were killed in Kharkiv after a strike hit a Nova Poshta terminal.
