Ukrainian defense forces continue defensive operations in the east and offensive operations in the south of Ukraine. Over the past day, more than 30 combat clashes have occurred, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy attacks

Russian occupiers continue to disregard international humanitarian law, carrying out shelling not only against Ukrainian military positions but also against civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing peaceful residents.

Unfortunately, due to such terrorist actions, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, residential buildings have been destroyed, and civilian infrastructure has been damaged.

The enemy launched 2 missile strikes and 40 airstrikes, conducting over 38 shelling attacks using rocket artillery systems, targeting both Ukrainian military positions and civilian objects within our country.

The enemy's aerial strikes targeted the settlements of Budarky, Ambarne, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Cherneshchyna in the Kharkiv region, Novoselivske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, Siversk, Andriivka, Krasnohorivka, Staromaiorske, Spirne, Vesele, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region, Robotyne, Kamianka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Arkhangelske in the Kherson region.

Over 45 populated areas in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions were under the enemy's artillery fire.

Frontline situation

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively stable.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy continues to maintain troop concentrations to cover the state border, actively conducting sabotage activities in border areas to prevent the movement of our forces to threatened directions.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group on the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions, the occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to breach the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Berestove, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Bohdanivka. Fierce battles are ongoing in the area of Klishchiivka.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group on the Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, Ukrainian forces maintain the initiative: they hold back the enemy, conduct offensive actions, and reclaim our land meter by meter. Ukrainian troops repelled approximately 15 enemy attacks in the Maryinka area.

In the Melitopol direction, Ukrainian forces are conducting an offensive operation, inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, forcing the enemy to retreat from its positions.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian forces continue counter-battery warfare, destroying enemy warehouses and successfully striking its rear areas.

Pseudo-elections in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine

On September 10, 2023, the occupying authorities plan to hold illegal elections of heads and deputies of local councils in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. It should be noted that the vast majority of candidates do not even have higher education and work as janitors, security guards, and cleaners. The occupiers simply use their personalities to conceal the real puppeteers of the occupied territories. These pseudo-elections and their results are not recognized by the entire civilized world, and the fact of their conduct and the participation of the local population will be used by the occupying authorities to account for human mobilization resources and their subsequent recruitment into the ranks of the aggressor country's army. The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces calls for ignoring participation in such pseudo-democratic events and avoiding conscription into the occupation army.

Enemy losses

During the past day, the Ukrainian defense forces' aviation conducted 8 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment. Additionally, three reconnaissance drones were destroyed by air defense.

Units of the missile forces struck 6 artillery pieces, 1 anti-aircraft missile complex, 1 area with enemy personnel, and 1 fuel and lubricants depot.
