Russian aggressors continue to concentrate their forces on five fronts, where fierce battles are ongoing. In the past 24 hours, there have been 27 armed clashes, reports the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Enemy attacks
During the past day, Russian occupiers launched rocket strikes on Ukrainian territory, using 17 cruise and two ballistic missiles. Nine cruise missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Air Force's defense systems.
Additionally, the enemy carried out 26 airstrikes and conducted 35 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launch systems on our troops' positions and civilian settlements.
Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, with residential buildings, religious structures, and other civilian infrastructure suffering damages.
The probability of further missile and aerial attacks across Ukraine remains high.
Frontline situation
The adversary continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions, resulting in intense battles. Within the past 24 hours, there were 27 armed confrontations.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged with no significant developments. Belarusian troops have been identified in the border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains its military presence. They conducted an airstrike in the Pavlivka area of the Sumy region and fired mortars and artillery at more than 15 settlements, including Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region, Seredyna-Buda, Uhroidy, Yunakivka in the Sumy region, and Kozacha Lopan, Budarky, and Veterynarne in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces are holding their defense steadfastly. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the Kucherivka area of the Kharkiv region. Fyholivka, Novomykhailivka, Dvorichna, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region also experienced artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy's attempts to advance in the Torskу area of the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. They conducted an airstrike in the Serebrianka Forest area of the Donetsk region. Artillery shelling affected the settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, under heavy enemy artillery fire, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and northeast of Orikhove-Vasylivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were hit by enemy artillery shelling, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Druzhba, and New York in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in the areas of Avdiivka and Nevelske, despite intense aerial and artillery fire from the enemy. Over 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Karlivka, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, experienced artillery shelling.
In the Mariupol direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back Russian advances in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Marinka. The enemy shelled over 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Katerynivka, Marinka, and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy's attempts to advance in the Novomykhailivka area were unsuccessful. They conducted an airstrike near Blahodatne in the Donetsk region and shelled more than 15 settlements, including Zolota Nyva, Prechystivka, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advancements by Ukrainian forces. They attempted unsuccessfully to regain lost positions in the Pryiutne area of the Zaporizhzhia region. Airstrikes targeted the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Antonivka in the Kherson region. Artillery shelling affected over 25 settlements, including Novodarivka, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Novoandriivka, Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region; Illinka, Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Antonivka, Havrylivka, Novoberyslav, Respublikanets in the Kherson region, the city of Kherson, and Yaselka in the Mykolaiv region.
Offensive actions
At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating their positions and inflicting artillery fire on identified enemy targets, while also conducting counter-battery measures.
Extraordinary events
Russian occupiers continue to plunder the peaceful population, appropriating the grain harvest of Ukrainian civilians. For instance, in the settlement of Pryshyb in the Zaporizhzhia region, using diesel locomotives, Russian occupiers are transporting a large quantity of grain from the territory of an agricultural enterprise.
Enemy losses
In the past 24 hours, the defense forces' aviation carried out three strikes on the enemy's personnel, equipment, and military machinery concentration areas. Additionally, Ukrainian defenders destroyed four reconnaissance UAVs of the operational-tactical level.
The missile troops and artillery units struck one area of enemy personnel, equipment, and military machinery concentration, destroying five artillery systems on firing positions, one command post, one anti-aircraft defense system, and one enemy EW station.
