Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 26

Russian forces launched large-scale attacks using missiles, aircraft, drones, and artillery throughout July 26. The heaviest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time, there had been 122 combat engagements since the start of the day.
Russian forces carried out one missile strike and 52 airstrikes, launching 27 missiles and dropping 93 guided bombs.
Additionally, the enemy deployed 1,329 kamikaze drones and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 3,550 times.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian units repelled nine enemy attacks. Russian forces launched eight airstrikes, dropping 17 guided bombs, and conducted 270 artillery shellings, including three using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Starytsia and in the Vovchansk area three times.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched five assault attempts, aiming to break through Ukrainian defenses near Radkivka, Kupiansk, and Zahryzove.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Novyi Myr, Zelenyi Hai, Hrekivka, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Karpivka, and Torske.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy tried twice to advance near Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attempted one unsuccessful assault on Ukrainian positions.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched an attack near Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, Russian forces attempted 55 assaults on Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretsk, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Oleksiivka, and toward Novopidhorodne. Fighting continues in five locations.
Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy's assaults. Russian forces are suffering significant losses. Today, in this direction alone, 182 personnel were neutralized, including 123 irrecoverable losses.
Ukrainian defenders destroyed:
- one armored fighting vehicle;
- two vehicles;
- one buggy;
- six motorcycles;
- two artillery systems;
- 12 unmanned aerial vehicles;
- two satellite communication terminals;
- one UAV control antenna;
- one ammunition depot.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled ten Russian attacks near Temyrivka, Tolstoi, Novokhatske, Myrne, Maliivka, and Voskresenka.
In the Huliaipole direction, Russian aviation struck Bilohiria.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attempted to advance near Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made eight unsuccessful assault attempts. They suffered losses and retreated. The village of Odradokamianka came under an airstrike.
As a reminder, Russian forces lost 1,080 personnel yesterday.
Earlier today, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic troop group, explained where the fate of Russia's summer campaign is currently being decided.
Additionally, on July 26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces killed the commander of the 83rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian army.
