Ukraine kills Russian colonel leading major assault near Kharkiv

Ukrainian Defense Forces killed the commander of the 83rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian army, reports the Khortytsia operational-strategic troop group.
According to operational information, Ukrainian forces eliminated Colonel Lebedev, the commander of the 83rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian army.
He reportedly led assault operations in the Velykyi Burluk direction.
The Velykyi Burluk direction
Recently, the situation east of Vovchansk escalated. Russian forces tried to stretch the frontline and break through Ukrainian defenses toward Velykyi Burluk.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted in its July 15 report that Russian so-called "war correspondents" claimed the enemy advanced west and south of Milove. They also reported attacks near Velykyi Burluk in the Milove area.
As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on July 26, Russians attempted 35 attacks on Ukrainian positions. These took place near Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretsk, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Oleksiivka, and toward Novopidhorodne.
