Since the beginning of the day, 155 combat engagements have taken place along the front line. Russian forces are actively assaulting Ukrainian defensive positions in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Toretsk directions, according to the operational update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Throughout the day, Russian forces carried out 5 missile strikes and 23 airstrikes, launching 7 missiles and dropping 33 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 1,138 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,599 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 enemy assaults since the beginning of the day. In addition, the enemy carried out five airstrikes, dropping eight guided bombs, and launched 211 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including four strikes using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched two unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces units near the settlements of Kamianka and Dovhenke.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted offensive actions near the settlement of Stepova Novoselivka but was repelled.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 14 attacks on Defense Forces positions near Lypove and toward Novyi Myr, Olhivka, Zelena Dolyna, Shandryholove, and the Serebrianske Forestry. Two engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy assaults. The Russian army attempted to advance toward Serebrianka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy launched 10 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Markove, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, and close to Kurdiumivka. All enemy attacks were successfully repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attempted 15 assaults on Ukrainian positions in the area of Diliivka and toward Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Kalyneve, Yablunivka, Stepanivka, and Rusyn Yar. The Defense Forces stopped 14 enemy attacks, and one battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces attempted to advance on Ukrainian positions 53 times. The enemy launched attacks near the settlements of Koptyeve, Poltavka, Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Udachne, Muravka, Orikhove, Novopavlivka, and Oleksiivka. One clash is still ongoing.

“According to preliminary data, 166 enemy troops were neutralized in this direction today, including 101 killed. Ukrainian forces also destroyed seven vehicles, 12 motorcycles, seven UAVs, and six UAV control antennas. Additionally, one armored combat vehicle, a motorcycle, and four enemy artillery pieces were damaged,” the military reported.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 20 times near the settlements of Odradne, Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, and toward Zaporizhzhia, Myrne, and Shevchenko. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults near Malynivka. Airstrikes targeted the areas of Uspenivka, Malynivka, Olhivka, Poltavka, and Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army launched an airstrike near the settlement of Kamianske.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks near the Antonivskyi Bridge area.

No significant changes have been recorded in other directions.

Enemy losses on the frontline

As of June 17, Russian losses on the front in Ukraine increased by another 1,060 soldiers. The total estimated personnel losses have now reached approximately 1,006,120 troops.

Ukrainian defenders also successfully destroyed 20 artillery systems and one multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
