Since the beginning of the day, April 29, Ukrainian forces have engaged in 75 combat clashes along the front line, 38 of which occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation by direction

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces carried out two assault operations near Petropavlivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched 10 attacks near the settlements of Lypove, Nove, Novomykhailivka, Myrne, and others.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, six Russian attempts to advance near Maiske, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, and Chasiv Yar were stopped. Two more clashes are ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, one enemy attack was recorded near Dachne.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces attempted 38 assaults to dislodge Ukrainian defenders near Stara Mykolaivka, Tarasivka, and Shevchenko. Twelve battles are still underway.

In the Novopavlivka direction, six enemy attacks were reported near Kostiantynopil, Burlatske, and toward Odradne. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, a single unsuccessful Russian attack took place.

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks.

General frontline situation

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, 178 combat engagements took place on April 28.

As of today, Russian manpower losses have exceeded 950,000. In the past 24 hours alone, Russian forces lost:

  • 5 tanks

  • 14 armored fighting vehicles

  • 42 artillery systems, among other equipment.
