Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 29: +1,060 troops, 296 equipment units

Over the last day, from April 28 to April 29, Russian losses at the front amounted to 1,060 troops and over 200 equipment units, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 29, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 950,860 (+1,060) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,728 (+5);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,352 (+14);
- artillery systems - 27,080 (+42);
- MLRS - 1,373;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,146 (+1);
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 335;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 34,177 (+94);
- cruise missiles - 3,196;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 46 432 (+140);
- special equipment - 3,860.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
On the night of Tuesday, April 29, Russians again attacked Ukraine on a large scale with Shahed kamikaze drones. An air alert was declared in many regions.
Around 1 a.m., explosions were heard in Kyiv due to air defense operations.
As a result of falling Russian drone debris, a fire broke out in the capital's Desnianskyi district, and a recreation center building burned down, injuring a woman.
