Explosions heard in Kyiv - Air Defense in operation

Explosions are heard in Kyiv due to an attack by Russian forces' Shahed drones. Air defense forces are operating, according to our correspondent and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenkо.
At 00:47 AM Kyiv time, Tkachenkо reported a threat of UAVs to the capital.
"Stay in safe places until the alarm is over," he wrote.
At 00:56 AM Kyiv time, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration reported explosions in the city.
At 01:07 AM Kyiv time, the Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that the air threat remains.
"We urge residents and guests of the capital to stay in shelters. There may be air defense operations," the statement reads.
Military sources report the movement of strike drones from the north of the Kyiv region, heading toward Kyiv.
At 01:26, repeated explosions were heard in Kyiv.
Russian forces’ drone attacks
On the evening of Monday, April 28, Russian forces once again launched Shahed kamikaze drones toward Ukraine. An air alarm was declared in several regions.
It is currently known that the Shaheds attacked the south of the Odesa region and are moving east and north toward the central part of the country.
In the morning, Russia launched a large-scale drone attack on Cherkasy. UAVs hit an infrastructure facility, causing a gas supply outage in the city and surrounding villages.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched over 160 strike UAVs toward Ukraine.
