Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 21

Fighting continues at the frontline, with over 90 combat engagements recorded over the last day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports active Russian attacks on the frontline.
Over the last day, 96 combat engagements were registered on the frontline.
In total, Russia fired 1,882 times at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, including 33 times from multiple launch rocket systems. Russian occupiers also used 957 kamikaze drones.
Ukrainian missile troops and artillery responded by striking the area where Russian personnel, equipment, and artillery were concentrated.
Situation at front
Kharkiv sector. Russia attempted to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops near the village of Krasne Pershe.
Kupiansk direction. Russians attacked in the area of Holubivka.
Lyman sector. Russia tried 12 times to break through the Ukrainian defense near Nadiia, Myrne, Hrekivka, Katerynivka, Novyi, and Yampolivka.
Siversk sector. 3 Russian offensive attempts were registered in the areas of Bilohorivka and Ivano-Dariivka.
Kramatorsk sector. Russia carried out 5 attacks in the direction of Chasiv Yar, as well as in the direction of Stupochky and Bila Hora.
Toretsk sector. Russians attacked Ukrainian positions near Druzhba, Toretsk, and Leonidivka 10 times.
Pokrovsk sector. Russian troops conducted 39 assault attacks in the areas of Sukha Balka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and Rozlyv.
Novopavlivka sector. Over the past day, Russia conducted 5 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Skudne, and in the direction of Odradne.
Orikhiv sector. Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 4 times in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Stepove.
Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi sectors. No combat engagements were recorded.
Volyn and Polissia sector. No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.
Kursk sector. Russians conducted 184 attacks, including 17 from multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian defenders stopped 16 Russian assault actions.
Russian losses
Over the past day, Russian losses amounted to 670 troops. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized 2 tanks, 2 armored combat vehicles, 10 artillery systems, 30 tactical drones, and 50 vehicles.
