Over the past 24 hours, from April 20 to April 21, the Russian army lost 670 soldiers and 2 tanks at the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 21, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 941,770 (+670) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,679 (+2);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,273 (+2);
  • artillery systems - 26,659 (+10);
  • MLRS - 1,368;
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,139;
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 33,270 (+30);
  • cruise missiles - 3,148;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 45,324 (+50);
  • special equipment - 3,859 units.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

At night, Russia broke the ceasefire announced on Saturday and attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

The Russian army also fired missiles at the southern regions, and explosions were heard in Mykolaiv and Kherson.

In addition, explosions were heard in Kyiv amid Russian drone attacks.
