Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 20

Since the beginning of March 20, there have been 90 combat engagements on the frontline. The Russian forces are attacking most intensively in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to attack Defense Forces positions once near the settlement of Hlyboke.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made six attempts throughout the day to advance toward Ukrainian positions in the areas of Kindrashivka, Pishchane, Ivanivka, and Zahryzove. The Defense Forces successfully repelled all enemy attacks.
In the Lyman direction, there were 12 combat engagements near Nove, Novomykhailivka, and Yampolivka. Seven clashes are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack in the Bilohorivka area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked three times near Minkivka, Stupochky, and in the direction of Oleksandro-Shultyne. One combat engagement is currently ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the invaders launched 18 attacks in the areas of Dachne, Druzhba, and Toretsk. Six engagements are still ongoing.
Enemy activity remains high in the Pokrovsk direction. Throughout the day, 28 engagements of varying intensity occurred near the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Oleksandropil, Zelenе Pole, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Novotoretske, and Andriivka. Four clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the aggressor attacked seven times in the areas of Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy launched unguided missile strikes on Novopil and Huliaipole.
Three times, the Russian forces attempted to advance on Ukrainian positions near Shcherbaky and Stepove in the Orikhiv direction. The enemy also launched an airstrike on Kamianske using unguided aerial missiles.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy did not conduct active offensive actions.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders are repelling one enemy attack, with a total of four engagements recorded so far. The enemy carried out 14 airstrikes, dropping 22 guided bombs on settlements and Defense Forces positions. Additionally, they launched 226 artillery strikes, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.
Russia’s losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 899,000 personnel.
In the past 24 hours alone, Russian forces lost 1,400 soldiers. Additionally, yesterday, the Defense Forces destroyed 13 tanks, 38 armored fighting vehicles, 43 artillery systems, 179 drones, and other enemy equipment.
