Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 7

Along the entire frontline, 146 combat engagements were registered over the last day. Ukrainian soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine Russia's offensive potential in the rear, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yesterday Russia launched 89 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, dropping 149 guided aerial bombs, and used 2,729 kamikaze drones.
In addition, Russians carried out over 5,100 attacks, including 194 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Russia struck:
- Velyka Rybytsia, Mohrytsia, Yunakivka, Basivka in Sumy region;
- Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, Sukhyi Yar, Novopil, Zelene Pole in Donetsk region;
- Temyrivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Stepove, Piatikhatky, Plavni in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Mylove, Kherson region.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 4 Russian attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russia attacked 2 times yesterday. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the Russian assault near Zahryzove.
Russians attacked in the Lyman sector 16 times. They tried to advance near Ivanivka, Balka Zhuravka, Yampolivka and in the direction of Hryhorivka.
In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders once near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 13 combat clashes were registered near Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia conducted 33 attacks near Dyliivka, Krymske, Ozarianivka, Leonidivka and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 19 Russian assault and offensive actions in the areas of Promin, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Ulakly and Andriivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 Russian attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions near Kostiantynopil, Skudne and Burlatske.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russia attacked 5 times in the areas of Pryvilne and Novosilka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 Russian attempts to advance in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Nesterianka, Kamianske and Piatikhatky.
Russia did not conduct any offensive actions in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
In the operational zone in Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 32 Russian attacks over the past day. In addition, Russia launched 27 air strikes with 35 guided aerial bombs, and fired 467 artillery shells at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities, including 26 from multiple launch rocket systems.
There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit 17 areas of concentration of Russian personnel and equipment and one means of electronic warfare.
Russian invaders suffered 1,150 casualties over the last day. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized 3 Russian tanks, 23 armored combat vehicles, 16 artillery systems, 95 drones, and 72 units of Russian vehicles.
