Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 18

Over the last day, 149 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. Most of the fighting occurred in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia launched three missile strikes, including a massive missile and air attack, used 132 missiles and 85 air strikes, dropped 141 guided aerial bombs, fired over 4,700 artillery rounds, including 111 from MLRS, and engaged about 1,699 kamikaze drones.
Main areas:
- Kharkiv: Russia tried to storm positions near Vovchansk and Starytsia 4 times, actively using bombers.
- Kupiansk: On the last day, there were 10 Russian attacks, which Ukrainian forces repelled near Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka, Zahryzove, and Kolisnykivka.
- Lyman: Russia made six attempts to break through near Tverdokhlibove, Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Terny, and Cherneshchyna.
- Siversk: An attack near Verkhniokamianske was repelled.
- Kramatorsk: One firefight in the area of Bilohorivka.
- Toretsk: In 3 attacks on positions near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, Russia used bombers.
- Pokrovsk: 32 assaults and offensive Russian actions were stopped near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Yurivka, Hryhorivka, Pustynka, and Petrivka.
- Kurakhove: Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 42 attacks, the most intense fighting took place near Nova Illinka, Maksymilianivka, Kurakhove, Katerynivka, and Antonivka.
- Vremivka: 8 Russian attacks near Trudove, Novodvorivka, Rivnopillia and Rozdolivka.
- Huliaipole: No active hostilities were registered.
- Orikhiv: The Russian attack near Novoandriivka was repelled.
- Prydniprovskyi: 4 unsuccessful Russian attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops.
Russian aviation carried out 26 airstrikes with 33 anti-aircraft gunships on its territory in the Kursk region. No signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions. Russia is actively shelling Chernihiv and Sumy regions from the territory of Russia.
Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to hit Russia: 13 areas of personnel concentration, one control point, a radar, and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,560 soldiers, 107 vehicles, and 99 drones at the front. In total, Russia's losses have already exceeded 722,000 soldiers.
