Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 5
On November 4, 230 combat engagements took place on the frontline. The situation was tense in the Kurakhove sector, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 84 attacks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit one area of concentration of Russian invaders,” Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Russia attacked 10 times near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians attacked 21 times near Kindrashivka, Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and beyond.
In the Lyman sector, 32 Russain attacks were repelled in Cherneshchyna, Hrekivka, Kolisnykivka, Katerynivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, and Torske.
In the Siversk sector, Russians attacked once near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia attacked 5 times in the area of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector, Russians tried to break into Ukraine's defense 7 times in the areas of Dachne, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka. One battle is currently underway near Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 22 Russia's assault and offensive actions towards the localities of Promin, Lysivka, Selydove, Yurivka and Vyshneve.
The situation was tense in the Kurakhove sector, where 84 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Vovchenka, Illinka, Kreminna Balka, Hannivka, Kurakhove, Novoselydivka, and other localities.
In the Vremivka sector, Russians attacked 17 times in the areas of Trudove, Velyka Novosilka, Urozhaine, Rozdolne, Sukhi Yaly, and Maksymivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, 6 Russian attacks were stopped in the areas of Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Orikhiv.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost over 701,000 troops. Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 1,260 Russian occupants, 15 tanks, 43 armored combat vehicles, and more.
